How it Works
The creator sets the topics that are available for funding. Fans vote with their dollars on which project they want to see made. The project with the most backing wins the round and gets made next. Fans who supported the project are listed as patrons in the final video.
Upon some deadline, the project that is leading in terms of funding will be selected as the winning project. This project is then considered "in progress" and the creator will work on it to completion. While a project is in progress, fans can continue to pledge to other projects they like, and this funding will carry over to the next round.
So, if a fan pledges money to some project which does not win the current round, that funding will still be added to the project's total for the next round.
Patron Credits
Everyone who backed the winning topic is listed as a patron in the final project. The more you backed, the higher your placement in the credits. Backers can be anonymous or include their name and a message to be displayed in the credits. The creator reserves the right to edit or remove these messages at their discretion.
Suggesting a Topic
We want fans to be able to submit project topics they'd like to see made. But, the creator reserves the right to accept or decline these suggestions depending on their interest in the suggested topic.
Platform Agnostic
Creators can publish their work to YouTube, X, Twitch, or any other platform. Creative Control acts as an independent coordination layer.
Payments
Payments are handled via Stripe. You are charged at the time of backing, not when the project is made. In the future we plan to add support for crypto payments, but for now we're keeping it simple.
